About Thirthahalli

A Tranquil town built on the banks of Tunga river. Thirthahalli is a place rich in myth and legend. The Kallusaara of the Tunga river is celebrated by our national poet Kuvempu in his fiction. Anandagiri and Siddeswara hill are two hillocks close to Thirthahalli town. Both are reachable on foot from the town . One can climb Anandagiri during any time of the year and relax at the mantapa atop, and can enjoy the scenic beauty. From the top of Siddeshwara Hill one will be able to see the other big hills of Shimoga District such as Kodachadri and Kundadri.
